Superior No.1260 Aluminum Soldering flux was introduced in 2002. Since that time it has become a standard for soldering Aluminum to Aluminum and Aluminum to other metals.
Superior has introduced it’s Aluminum Flux in a Paste form. In certain applications easier to use, will not run or migrate before heating. Not intended to replace the LIQUID or GEL form, but to complement them in certain conditions.
Aluminum Soldering Flux PASTE
A PASTE Version of the Superb Superior No.1260 Gel
High Activity, Chloride-
Effective in joining aluminum to aluminum and aluminum
to most ferrous and non-
including some grades of stainless steel**.
Active 350 -
Clean up with hot water
Superior No.1260 is excellent for soldering LiPoly Cells or
Other cells with Aluminum tabs.
Don’t accept a substitute!
Note: Great care must be taken when working
with any type of battery (Disclaimer)
Use with 91/9 Tin/Zinc Solder for Aluminum
Use with 96/4 Tin/Silver Solder for other metals
Great for repairing cast RR cars and engine chassis
** For Soldering Stainless Steel, not aluminum,
and other difficult to solder metals,
Paste 1260 is not meant to replace the Gel form,
but to compliment it in certain areas.
We recommend using solid wire solder with this flux,
this will give a stronger and cleaner joint.
